Chapter 2: Prokaryote
Jacqueline Jones
Keeps finding herself stepping between the ‘civilians’ and the immediate source of danger, which is a surprising reflex to have. Isn’t sure where that comes from; the Location offers relatively few pauses for introspection.
Clara Lopes
It’s a profound injustice of the Location that Clara doesn’t remember she needs glasses, and assumes everyone’s sight is like this all the time. She’s wrong, and the only person around whose sight is worse than hers is Daniel.
Leonardo 'Leo' Liguori
The ghosts don’t actually have to look like deformed or monstrous versions of himself, but he doesn’t actually remember what he looks like, and their appearance responds to whatever he’s thinking about at the time, with a certain artistic flourish of their own.
Omar Wassem
He keeps idly making sure that no-one’s sneaking up on him, and is very aware of sight lines in a way that he doesn’t realise isn’t normal. Luckily for him, he’s now surrounded by nice people who he’s learning to trust. Unluckily for him, he’s trapped with them in the Location.
